My journey has been quite a whirlwind, taking me through various industries before I circled back to my true passion for beauty and makeup. It all started with my Somatology diploma, which opened doors to salon management and eventually led me to the high-flying world of aviation. Along the way, I dabbled in fashion makeup, styling, and even corporate grooming and soft skills training. For over a decade, I had the privilege of training cabin crew, contributing to their professional growth.

But there came a point where I felt the pull back to my roots. After settling in Cape Town, I found myself exploring standards management and then unexpectedly delving into the world of aviation and corporate training for a good twenty years. However, my heart longed to return to what truly lit me up inside.

So, I decided to reignite my love for makeup and nails, and thus, Karmi was born. It’s my haven where I get to focus on enhancing the natural beauty and confidence of each of my clients. Recently, I’ve also embarked on a journey to master permanent makeup, seeing it as an extension of my commitment to this craft. I’m even considering a paramedical course to further expand my skills in this area.

It’s incredibly fulfilling to work with my clients, knowing that I’m helping them feel even more beautiful and confident in their own skin. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and how I can continue to grow and evolve in my passion for makeup and beauty.
